As you may have already seen on the news all weekend and this morning, due to a prolonged heat wave driving up electricity demand, the California Independent System Operator (ISO), which manages the state’s electric power grid, issued a Flex Alert Sunday, Aug. 16 through Wednesday, Aug. 19. Grid conditions are expected to be very challenging throughout the course of the week. The Flex Alert is in effect each day from 3-10p.m.
