Due to extreme heat and high energy demand expected over the Labor Day weekend, the California Independent System Operator (CAISO), which manages the state’s electric grid issued a Flex Alert to call for energy conservation from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
